Meet the Principal

Lindsey Nagorski, Principal

Mrs. Nagorski brings over 20 years of experience in elementary education, including roles as a classroom teacher, interventionist, academic coach and administrator. She has proudly served the St. Cloud Area School District since 2008, working alongside educators and families to support student growth and success.

Originally from Long Island, Nagorski earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and elementary education from Hofstra University. She went on to receive her Master of Education with an emphasis in educational technology from the College of St. Scholastica and later completed her education specialist degree in K-12 leadership from Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Throughout her career, Nagorski has prioritized building strong relationships and fostering equitable opportunities so every child can reach their full potential. She believes in the power of partnership with families, staff and the community to prepare students for a bright future.

Nagorski is excited to be part of the Discovery community and looks forward to working together to make this school year an exceptional experience for every student.

Stephanie Skaalerud, Interim Assistant Principal

Stephanie Skaalerud is excited and honored to be serving Discovery Community School as interim assistant principal. She has served the St. Cloud Area School District since 2013 in many different roles. After getting her bachelor's degree in elementary education, Skaalerud has worked as a classroom teacher, grade level lead and academic coach. She received her master of education from St. Mary's University and went on to complete her K-12 educational leadership from Concordia University.  

Skaalerud resides in the St. Cloud area school district with her husband and four children. She looks forward to building meaningful relationships with students, staff and community members of Discovery Community School.
